We have a guest coming down today – former MLB pitcher and mental skills coach Bob Tewksbury.
I know what you are thinking… there’s two Bob Tewksbury’s? TewksbAry’s?? I’ve been asked my whole life (pretty much every time I came up to bat growing up) if Bob was my dad. Bob and I aren’t related by blood, but we’ve known each other for over 10 years. The Tewksbury’s were my host family when I played for the Concord Quarry Dogs of the NECBL. (Ironically, this was the same summer I met Chris.) Bob was actually working toward his Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology when I was living with him.
Since then, Bob has worked with the Red Sox, the MLB Player’s Association and the San Fransisco Giants. This is in addition to pitching 13 years and winning 110 in the big leagues! Needless to say, he has a unique blend of skills, education and experience.
If you have any mental game questions, please use the form below to submit. We’ll be filming Bob’s answers and posting as soon as we can.
